Learning a new web-app framework, and language can be hard, and good examples that work, are tested and well documented, and that do something beyond the trivial, really help.

I started this project because I wanted to teach myself Ruby and how to build fast, quick, simple web-apps.

After some reading I chose Sinatra as my web-app framework of choice, and Active Record as the ORD technology. I am using Sqlite3 as a database for this very simple example application.

Frank is intended to be a very simple but feature complete web-app built on top of Sinatra that provides simple user login, password reminder, and user email verification with support for simple roles. It is intended to be used by other developers as both a well documented example of Sinatra in use, and a starting point for others wishing to implement simple web apps very quickly.
